The Cannes Film Festival refused to host the official Russian delegation in 2022. This is reported by official website of the festival.

Organizers will ban the participation of the official Russian delegation and any delegates with ties to the Kremlin. They explained that they "will not allow even a minimal presence of any institutions associated with the Russian government." At the same time, individual filmmakers from the country will still be able to attend the event.

“As the world has been hit by a heavy crisis in which a part of Europe finds itself in a state of war, the Festival de Cannes wishes to extend all its support to the people of Ukraine and all those who are in its territory” - the festival organizers said in a statement.
